Kneeling on the grass in a park.
Stuck in a moment of peace.
Smiling at my self imposed predicament.
A light rain falls and I realize I am pain free.
I am kneeling and writing about the Angel of Death in a place of life.
But now in this place the dark messenger brings no strife.
He is only the smiling quiet one.
He is listening to the bells of an ice cream truck.
There is peace for a moment in the long life of a Pathfinder.
Rarely is an old soul like this free of his job.
