I hit the water,
hard,
on my back.
The air is smacked from me,
I cannot breathe
I cannot think...
weakness overtakes me
I am sinking, falling, slowly
through this water,
ever heavier,
helpless,
weakness,
crushing...
drifting downward, into the abyss,
the light above fades...
it's reaching rays find me less and less....
grasping, losing my grip,
falling evermore
hopeless,
colder,
dying,
slowly
and gently, gently,
does my cold, crushed corpse
touch down upon the bottom of the ocean,
in total darkness,
utterly ended.
