"To Jolina Andrea"

J oined thought to thought in night's calm
interludes--
O ases in the deserts of the soul--
L inked spiritually, two lovers' hearts seek moods
I n quiet commerce, and together stroll.
N ot water flasks, but vessels of delight
A re filled in dreams and packed off in the night.

A nd should their fancies take a different turn,
N ow worldly cares divert their minds by day,
D ream-sprinkled somethings in their souls still
burn
R eminding them of night's delightful sway.
E nter again a sultry night's desire,
A nd each in other wake a starry fire.
