shake me for your dry martini,
and flaunt me as your objet d’art.
spread me for your picnic blanket,
and tie me as your silk cravat.

feed me as your hungry sparrow,
cage me for your aviary.
ride me as your prancing pony
and tease me as your kitty cat.

dangle me for your fishing lure,
adorn me as your haute couture.
bend me as your archer’s bow, and
fill me as your profiterole.

stripe me for your candy cane, and
etch me as your bestiary.
toss me as your lucky dice, and
offer me as your sacrifice.

Your love of words makes your love of another interesting reading.

As always, you bring a freshness to old refrains.
