quite a plain and straight line
over your varied terrain
forget those hills and valleys
that are your ordinary glory
however picturesque

Anonymousover 16 years agoWho would have the audacity to connect a repeating intransitive verb with a conjunction? I won't pretend to even begin to fully appreciate this piece as a whole (my next 15 or so readings should help), but the "are and are" is magical. Yeah, i know, praise praise praise ... sorry about that: It's just so fucking GOOD.
