Her hands are strong
And the grip that holds you
Unbreakable
The touch unmistakable

The fingers upon your skin
Light and dark,
Owning, Possessing

This is known
Life is tragic
Sometimes scary
But if you take her hand
She will make it less so

Perfection is unattainable
But love is within reach
Give her your hand
Do not hesitate

A moment is a lifetime
A lifetime is forever
Promises made?
None yet but the promise of promises

This is the story
This is the gift she offers you
Nothing sacred or profane
Just something real
Something you can hold on to
But if you pull too hard, she will let you go

Remember that
And remember this
This is Love
Nothing hard
Nothing without pain
You work for something worth having
That is all she can offer you
