I gave you my life
Put it in your hands
Granted your every wish
Bowed to your every demand
Now I sit here alone
An empty bottle at my side
Jack Daniels my silent companion
In my mind I try to hide
You warped my perception
But now I see my path
I glance at the gun before me
And remember how you’d laughed
Laughed at the gun in my hand
Until you’d looked into my eyes
No longer your little girl
But a woman sick of lies
As I raised the gun
Memories flooded back
Of the first night you’d touched me
How I’d cried from the attack
You’d then held me in your arms
Told me that was love
Said you’d be with me forever
Your eyes hovering above
I was younger then
But now I’m older and grown
Not naïve as I was
In the world I had not known
For my heart is now lost
By you is was slain
Nightmares destroyed my mind
My life is filled with pain
I know about life now
The things that shouldn’t be done
You did them all to me
Your twisted sense of fun
As you stopped laughing
You tried to plead with me
I smiled and pulled the trigger
Telling you “Goodnight Daddy”
Now I throw the empty bottle
To where your body lay
And hear the sirens coming
Prepared to take me away
“They won’t get the chance”
I say, lifting my hand slowly
The gun fires another round
As men in blue surround me
They don’t believe what they see
As my lifeless body is flipped
The gun’s still gripped in my hand
And a smile plays upon my lips
