swear to god
you make it so hard
to love you sometimes
why can't you do
exactly what I ask
why must everything be
such a monumental task
did Prometheus ever have
it this bad
the liver ain't diddly squat
compared to the wounds on a heart

why can't you be the one
I want you to be
why can't you change
completely for me
what happened to the one
I imagined you to be
this could be so easy
if you just trust me
so easy if you turn
yourself over to me

I know better than you
I imagine the person
who would be
perfect for me
imagined the person
you should want to be
the perfect ideology
the right mind
you should aspire to be
why must you make it
so difficult for me
why can't you see
the person you should be
if you loved me
you'd be everything
I want you to be
be the one who deserves
someone like me

swear to god
why must you make it
so damn hard for me
be the one I want you to be
be exactly who I mold you to be
do everything you can for me
make life easier for me
become what I want you to be
think of nothing else but me
devote your life to me
dissolve your will for me
give everything you have to me
sacrifice your life for me
this is how true love should be

Do you listen to any TOOL?

Totally something that Maynard would write. I love it.
