In a fortnight, it will be real.
Once and for all, the final seal.
The approval you seek, the answer you await.
Her hand will be yours, left up to fate.

A flaxen curl, escapes her reach.
As she raises her hand, a lesson to teach.
Answers are sought, from the students below.
Her bright smile, encourages them so.

She looks up, and for a brief moment...
Your breath.. is caught in your throat.
Your heart .. seems to have stopped.

Your eyes meet, across the room.
Your legs.. a mind of their own..
Your words.. caught in your throat.
Your mouth.. so dry and empty..

She steps forward, to take your hand.
A cordial greeting, thats the plan.
Her offering you accept, and place a kiss.
So gentle, so soft, a faint mist.

Thirty years, she is still the same.
Your one true love, your eternal flame.
You remember the day, you fell in love.
This kind, caring woman, who rose above.

Thirty years have passed.
Here you sit, love everlast.
Renewing your vows, it made her smile.
Melted your heart, you'd walk for miles.

For one last glimpse, of those twinkling eyes.
