Two mouths

Two mouths
Both yours
Both open
Here the red animal darts behind the ivory palisade
There the sacred pearl, the mysterious cave
Wait. Wait.
I watch
Your subtle fingers
Dip into the first well
Gather spring water
Walk past the pert peaked hills
The fire pit
Through the thicket
Now they pinch the petals
Polish the pearl
The landscape rises
Shakes, shakes
A spring is freed within the cave
Slowly the aftershocks subside
Now
Two mouths
Both yours
Both open
One smiling, one weeping
