Two Nights

Two nights have gone
Two Nights alone,
Two nights of waiting
Like a drone.

I miss your touch
I miss your feel,
Your warm embrace
Two arms that heal.

I want you near
I need it so,
My sun has set
My moon is low.

My life is lost
My heart is broke,
When cancer’s breath
Within you choke.

Two nights have gone
Without your smile,
Cancer’s tumor
Wretched bile.

I dream you’re here
Still in my bed,
You haunt my dreams
You stalk my head.

Two nights alone
And then the dawn,
My bed is cold
Two nights have gone.
