Two steps I took, and I took no more
I took one step back and one step foward.

I took the step foward, but only to embrace,
The magestic beauty of your wonderful face.
My lips to your lips, I cooed and you sighed,
I breathed in your aroma as you stood and cried.

I took the step back, but only to face,
The fact that you was gone and all was empty space
My lips to your lips, never more will be
Left til death in my sorrow, now I am, hear me.

Unbless me, my Father, for I have portrayed,
A love never known, and a life never frayed.
But only her can I see, in my life and my dreams,
Two steps more, another sorrow, and perhaps another dream.
