UNFORGIVING BLUE

I don't know how to make the time pass,
half eight and already I had diner,
by habit I just think of you, my lass,
is this a loser or is it a winner?

To go back to Hillside I postpone,
to stay in town, I just keep on drinking,
perhaps I could have called you on the phone,
as soon as I decide my heart is sinking.

I did my shopping earlier in LIDL,
I came back to the sea to kill some time,
I may take up again playing the fiddle,
new effort in my music pantomime.

Each day trying to find something to do,
my empty life hopelessly is passing,
abstracted in this unforgiving blue,
my every thought of you a light still flushing.
