Tried fighting it
Went thru the denial stage
But I knew this day would come
He lost interest over time
My needs left unquenched
Self love is unsatisfying
And yet I held on to hope
Until finally I gave up
Settled for companionship
Shelved away my passion
And went on with my emptiness
