You're just getting on with life when you feel it,
Something's there. The air goes chill and you shiver.
Your heart flutters but you have to turn and see,
you freeze.
Its him. The one you undyingly love.
You thought he was miles away but he's there,
Smiling at you making your pulse go crazy.
You smile back,
and stare into his eyes.
They hypnotise you, you can't pull away,
you see the memories.
Memories of your time together.
Some happy, some sad.
memories of arguments,
memories of making up.
He's moving closer and closer,
still smiling.
Soon he's so close you can feel his breath on your neck;
Which makes your body tingle with expectancy.
"I love you" he wispers, touching your arm.
"I love you too" you reply.
With tears in your eyes, you reach forward to take him in your arms.
He comes and embraces you,
filling your mind with more memories,
that scent, that feeling.
Its ecstasy.
Then you feel his lips on your neck,
so soft and gentle.
You yield willingly, closing your eyes to intensify the feeling.
Then you feel pain.
Immense pain, your eyes flutter open and he's there sucking with fangs embedded.
You try to scream.
You can't.
He just drains you of life and leaves you,
heartbroken.
You wake.
It was all a dream.
Or was it a vision of the truth?

Can you say relationship issues?

The fear of being abanded is strong in many, but can he really be that heartless? If he loved her you would include a passage where we know she becomes a immortal too, but you didn't. Either this is a mistake in my misunderstanding of your story, or he is heartless, and you have issues of being abanded by love. Is this a premenition? This is all very unclear and murky, because they're are different possibilities and conclusions to this piece of literature. Is this meant to confuse us? This is more a story than a poem. Sorry to say. Then again some argue that poems are more poetic stories. Arrrgghh! The insanity and my innability to comprehend this are driving me up the wall! What happens? Vampire? Dead? Premonition? WHICH ONE!!! Or does she simply fear being left by her lover? Good job on beffudling me! This is quite a kerfuffle! Add insanity to my virginity and I'm good to go!
