With blood tattooed across her breast
and eyes a pool of fire
She stalks the night
for another kill
Fangs flash in the half moonlight
Nose twitching to catch a scent
of warm blood encased within

Slinking through city streets
Finding at last a pleasant morsel
Holding the wriggling mass of flesh
Releasing life through a single bite
Drinking away its soul

Dropping the corpse onto concrete
She stares into dead eyes
All for not to live forever
When it means death for another

A single tear
Before the sunlight
