Venus - The Epilogue
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

The sun came out

The air seemed clear

She looked like glass

My heart soared

My pride unbounded

And my arms moved to embrace her

At the first touch

Before my eye could blink

She crumbled

As she fell through my arms

Her eyes turned away

And as the sand slipped throught my fingers my spirit ebbed with the tide

Was it real?

Or was it illusion?

I know it hurts

I am told she is serene

I am told she is calm

So maybe I gave her what she needed

Will I find another Venus?

Who knows?

I shall never truly lose this one tho'

I cannot watch another build her

But I hope he finds that beauty again

I have been truly blessed...for a while!
