The Venus Trap

You wander into my garden
It’s warm and wet
And the intoxicating smell
Draws you ever closer
I wrap my tendrils around you
Binding your arms and legs
Entwining them through your hair
Pulling you into me
Tracing your jaw
And brushing your lips
With two perfect soft red petals
While pink rosebuds seek out your touch
And harden against your chest
Vines redolent of iris and green ivy
Snake up and over your shoulders
Where I open my limbs to you
Revealing that exotic flower
Heady with vanilla and violet
You bury into me
To breathe me in
Rubbing your face
On my velvet leaves
Slowly letting my sweet, sticky nectar
Drip down your tongue
You separate my petals
With gentle lips
Exploring me
And enticing the bud within
Until the whole universe
Blossoms all at once
The spasm of vines
Release their grip
You lay in my garden
As I bask in your sunlight
And take your love down in my roots
