A man's dying to eat..
In the streets
What could he be?
What do we see?
He's crying for forgiveness
He's lying on the concrete ground
He's breathing for salvation
Hate is the only hope he's found.
A child cries in the distance
A red face, a streaked back
How could that be?
When will we see?
He's crying for salvation
He's lying cold on the wooden floor
He's breathing for forgiveness
Fear is the only hope he's found.
A woman screams in the darkness
A blood bath, a bruised mind
Is this what she'll be?
Something we don't want to see.
She's screaming for her freedom
She's lying dead on the concrete ground
She's become a statistic to be forgotten
Death is the only salvation she's found.
