WE’RE THE VIKINGS II

(the sequel)

By JCSTREET © 2004

We are the Vikings
Still!
riding
riding
riding out of the dawn, riding
into the night our

bellies are fat and the
wicker baskets
on our pack animals wax full, and
behind us
women
first screaming with loss, then merely mewling
then quiescent
stretching their white Irish arms
round their captors
rather than fall under the horses and
later they will weave their white Irish arms around their captors
to be filled with
new seed their
memories of wattlehuts and famine
soon forgotten

as they greet the new land, North of the sun

will viking 3

possibly have more sex in it than viking 2?

Could a pirate or jungle man be thrown in? Just a cameo?
