Vision

My mind sees a vision.
My lover, my mate in this life.
Vision is beauty and he lives
in my mind. But also out there.
Somewhere he walks. It is
for me to search, to find him.
I see his soul, his heart, his
very being. Yet my mind
cannot picture his smile, his
eyes, the round of his face.
My ears cannot hear his
voice, the sweetness of
his laughter. In this search
I am blind and I am deaf. My
senses of no use. Even so I do
not despair. For my heart knows
this man. My heart will tell me
his name. Show me a face.
Teach me his words. These
things my heart can do. For love
is something you feel. Nothing to
see, nothing to hear. In life's game
that is love, I shall close my eyes
so that they do not see. Shut my
ears so that they do not hear. Then
in silent darkness I will follow my
heart to him, my one true love....
