Have you thought about how it would be,
If the words stayed upon your lips?
Never to use your voice for witty repartee,
                  To communicate your emotions peacefully.

Have you ever questioned if your ears you could not use,
      And the quiet overwhelmed?
Never to listen to someone muse,
To hear a new voice and wonder whose.

Have you reflected on how life would appear,
If the blackness all but vanished?
Never to lay eyes on what you hold dear,
To see all the sights and colors near.

What would you do if you could not embrace these powers,
      And fully indulge in life?
Never to speak to another, hear birds, or see bright flowers,
To experience all there is for fulfilling all your hours?
