I hear their moans,
like wind through an abandoned house. The creak
           of floorboards and bedsprings

strained under unusual loads,
     sighs scattered like mice
caught in a sudden shaft of sun.

The glove of my fist,
however tight, can but relieve, not comfort,
and these little ropes of semen

only seal my hollow need
onto the clean and empty oak
           of their guestroom floor.

A beautifully written piece conveying so much but not a single word wasted

this

your wording is quite beautiful-- the ropes of semen made me cringe, but after having read it again, I see it was necessary, and the sadness, emptiness, like a hollow door... very well done, hope to see more
