Today has been cool,
Grey. Cloudy.
It reminds me of fall's approach,
And warm relief. Indian Summer.

Walking through pasture fields,
Hand in Hand.
Seeing geese fly South,
And grass re-greening.

Side by side and shoulder to shoulder,
Light kisses skimming lips.
His hand at the small of my back,
Our hearts together.

Winter comes fast.
Snow. Wind. Ice.
The Earth goes to sleep,
Waiting for sun and love.

Banishing thoughts of fireplaces and hot chocolate.
A warm breeze passes,
All Hope is not lost.
Waiting for him and love.
