Sometimes I wake up laughing.
Sometimes I wake up scared.
Sometimes I wake up all alone
Wishing I were next to someone who cared.

Sometimes I wake up singing.
Sometimes I wake up mean.
Sometimes I wake up tangled in sheets
And all the dreams in between.

Sometimes I wake up crying.
Sometimes I wake up refreshed.
Sometimes I wake up waaaay too much...
Insomnia at its best.

Sometimes I wake up running.
Sometimes I wake up slow.
Sometimes I wake up with a plan in my head
And all my thoughts on the go.

Sometimes I wake up feeling ok.
Sometimes I wake up feeling sad.
Sometimes I wake up hoping the day ahead
Will be the best that I've ever had.

Sometimes I wake up with a wish on my lips.
Sometimes I wake up with a prayer.
Sometimes I wake up and find it hard
To figure out just what to wear.

Sometimes I wake up feeling stressed out,
Sometimes without a care in the world.
Sometimes I wake up feeling too old for my age
And sometimes like a little girl.

I enjoyed the poem...simple, sweet. Encompasses much of what we all sometimes think about and acknowledge.

Feel like

there's a missing stanza at the end to wrap it.
