Sitting here alone in the realm of smashed insects
on blue walls with gold doors,
and stabbed chairs with broken arm rests.
Thinking of what you and I could have been.
Remembering the times I took those weary bites of your sin.
I push a test to see, how far this pain can reach
as I analyze every piece you took away from me.

Even in the darkness that reflects in my mind,
I still can't escape the shadow you left behind.
The way my heart jumps when I see your picture,
the need to look away when you pass me by.
Destroying my every vessel in my every part,
doesn't distract from the pain of a broken heart.

Entities slither inside me diving deep
I’m searching hard for what I'll next be.
Shall I let them rip apart the inside of me?
Do their hearts as well jump at the very sight of me?

I can't seem to forget
your touch on my wrist--not gentle has it been;
the warmth of your kiss, bittersweet is it laden.
And thus away from you I'll forever shy
every time your eyes pass me by.
You've set aside your heavy burden.
Like a neglegent mother ignores her baby's cry.
The reflection of a lover in a blind mans eye.

Sitting alone in this realm of the bowels of a house,
staring at the chipping paint on the blue walls;
with insect smears and golden doors,
gashed chairs with broken arms;
only reminds me of what we once were
and what we'll never be.
The way I feel every time you walk away from me.

Dunno Why

But the line 'stabbed chairs with broken armrests' really gets me. Will have to use it sometime. Even if it's just in an insurance claim. :)))

some nice lines

but might suggest some editing, imho, which isn't that humble, nor talented. Try trimming out so many 'I's, and the poem seems a little long. But tell me to fo if you don't like my suggestions. ;-)
