We
Ventured out
(Human curiosity left idle is a deadly thing)
Must see what we can find

Left
Behind us
(Our world was a beautiful place but more so the lure)
And smaller grew the orb

And
Traversed far
(A siren call to see what lay under sea and over stars)
But longed for what was left behind

Found
Cold redstone
(Ice like no winter calling spring can ever mend)
Mars is still dead

Home
Drifts clockwise
(Where water flows into rushing rain rivers to sing)
We are not satiated

Never
Enough space
(Someone will look to the stars again and wonder-)
What's out there?

And
In their wake
(An arid roar shreds air like skin peels from long dead bones)
Find nothing
