So closely connected
that within the span of a week
we settled into a previous life
peppered with new surroundings

they are subconcious, cellular, visceral

yet i know Your skin smooth as hot marble
Your scent salt sweet tang of spice
only imagined
your taste wine and musk
hidden from my tongue without a word
i hear You in my soul
without a contract i remember being Yours
familiar fluid caresses
flow over my body
re-establishing connection
in this life
in this moment
we watch each other melt
as ice to water in the heat of today
through the glass of other commitments
we are objects just out of reach
Your desires sheeting over me
like water over glass
never totally gone
leaving small puddles of hope
finally drying in everchanging cloud pictures
open for interpretation
leaving marks
unerasable, only altered
appearances may change
