I've weaned myself from
the sweet milk of enigma that's you.
Now the bitter beverage
from loves nipple I once drew.

Late night parlays
of electrifying intensity
kept me light headed
from your proclivity.

Left me wet
in passions dew
now I replace
with "Witches Brew".

Soaked the pain
in acceptance vessel.
I destroyed the foundation
of dirty loves trestle.

The guilt of pride
create the lesions
that fester within.
Destined to infect
what did not begin

I indebted my heart
to deduct or maybe exhange
for acid filled tear ducts
and left over petty change.

If I had a dick,
a scrotum to scratch daily
then I'd only need to empty
a testosterone filled belly.

No lessons to school
No tears to shed
for fear of the burn
indifference would rule.

Little by little
pieces of peace
I end thoughts nightly
on the pillow of make belief.

I drift to the comfort
that tomorrow is closer
I will not suckle
on what is no longer.
