Deep in the hearts
in the souls of the crowds
the anger, the seething
finding no way out.

The smiling sun's rays
and the rain's crying tears
every inner demon screaming
but silence perseveres.

They walk, then run
then crawl for releif
a smile that covers
but eyes filled with grief.

Pounding and shaking
a soul breaking free
I stumble, then fall
crying "oh please not me".

So lost in this crowd
their eyes passing by
they choose not to look
afraid to ask why.

Beneath them I struggle
still they can't see
further down I descend
weeping,"I'll never be free".
