Weeping and Woe
By LustyLee77

I speak to your picture and ask why; my son you were much too young to die
Your girlfriend hurt and betrayed you so; if only you endured the pain and let her go
Life is not perfect and some times people lie; all I do is talk to your picture and cry
Through tear filled eyes I plead with your photo; a bad act but you were good I know

One sad day she brought her new lover to your abode; you chased them to the road
Hurt and angry you put reason aside; you shot her and yourself and you both died
You were a decent young man living by a code but you lost control and did explode
I know you were true and it hurt inside but you should have just sat down and cried

In time you would have learned how to cope and your sorrow would turn to hope
Another love would have taken her place; then I could see again a smile on your face
If only you thought it out and knew the scope before you descended down that slope
You threw it all away by an act of disgrace but your memory no one can ever replace

You had a good and loving heart; you were young, kind, handsome, and very smart
If only you could see the pain this caused us all, you would have coped and stood tall
Now you are gone and we are apart; you thought your act romantic, it was not smart
I am filled with weeping, woe, and recall; the light has gone, replaced by rainfall
