I was called Weird
from an early age.
It set the stage,
for the pattern master,
that I became.

To notice patterns,
insignificant, but not feared,
things about Life.
They cause you no strife,
but make you say "Weird"!.

Now this pattern was noticed
for about twenty years.
Was wondered about,
but never feared.

At 8 am when the body's team
does a daily regeneration scheme,
if conditions are met,
I get set
for a ride of images
that rivals the best.

Like memories stored
but never reviewed
and for dreams,
they were never fated.
Like leftovers from views
stored in a buffer,
the conscious never related.

The images I see
are set before me
like a slideshow
with no moral to know.
Having little thread,
no story to tell,
they ring no bells.
They bring no dread.

Some I attach emotion,
Some none at all
Like ships in the night
They pass unadorned.

They last til
I breathe stronger
to get out of bed,
the occipital lobe
disrobes
its buffers,
and clears my head.

Or sooner end or not start at all
shall the ride be affected, or even stall
if the temperature
of the occipital lobe
decreases from hot,
to fall below.

Even dreams, when waking
can be watched without stopping,
if heat energy is there.
Should that be Feared -
Or is it just Weird?

Interesting

A four star effort.
