Thinking about your body
thinking about your brain
thinking about standing
outside in the rain,
cup of morning coffee
cup of morning tea
no one in the world
except you and me,
Nothing on the schedule
nowhere we need to go
no leaking boats
that we need to row,
no mountains to be climbed
no valleys to traverse
no assignment to
write haiku or free verse,
So what do we do
on a day like today
if God asked the question
what would we say,
"why to you exist?"
what would our answer be
to drink this cup of coffee
and drink this cup of tea,
