Whatever Happened To Christmas Day?

I've noticed every year as I get older,
The Summers get hotter, the Winters colder.
The way time speeds up is like "going astray,"
But whatever has happened to Christmas day?

The "Commercializing parts" just grow and grow.
Its gotten MUCH faster, and NOTHING is slow.
Most "Presents" bought for kids now don't involve play,
Makes ya wonder what's happened to Christmas day!

Season's music used to start a week before,
But now it seems to begin, a "Month" or MORE.
People now-a-days should get a "BIG Horse NEIGH,"
For NOT taking time to "HONOR" Christmas Day!

People open "presents" on the day before,
And DON'T have the "patience" to wait ONE DAY more!
Soon Santa Claus WON'T NEED, his Reindeer and sleigh,
Tell me, "Whatever Happened To Christmas Day?"

People no longer "wait" for Christmas morning,
They don't seem to care, and should take this warning.
They need to "Recognize," and take time to "PRAY,"
And thank our "God in Heaven" for Christmas Day!!
