When the stars fall through the sky and my dreams just wont stand still
And the days turn into night as they cross my windowsill
When the music ends in silence and pounds against my heart
And all the words are hurtful while the truth just falls apart

There’s no time for rhyme or reason there’s no reason left to cry
It all just fades to nothing now as all my dreams pass by
I can’t hold them any longer and I can’t just set them free
So I watch in silent anguish what I know will never be

Then the night seems somehow softer as my fears rest at my side
And the words help me remember what I used to feel inside
As the hands of time keep turning to take it all away
I know I’ll always keep the words you never heard me say

I’ll tell you when the stars come back
and all my dreams stand still
I’ll tell you when the music softly greets the night
across my windowsill

I’ll tell you when the truth lays bare the reasons of my heart
And time waits ever patiently while fear will have no part
Then ever will I follow that which I once lost
To think I gave it all away, my dreams to pay the cost.
