What is in a word?
Tradition, Definition?
Is it the person
Who touches me when she speaks?
Awakes passion deep within?

Such a gentle soul
Yet, passion burns within her
What is this desire
That takes my breath, lights my fire
And makes me feel all tingly?

A word from her mouth
Exciting as a caress
I have ever felt
Yet for her naked desire
She remains demure and sweet

She’s an enigma
Inscrutable as the Sphinx
My secret desire
Hard nipples, a blush, wet lips
When she says the word, I melt.

What is this strange word
That is not even a word
Each time she whispers
My imagination speeds
To the bedroom, Loverly.

wrong musical

"Loverly" is not in the Sound of Music. That song is in My Fair Lady.

Well, I don't know the real origin of the word

or the specific context that you use "Loverly" but why it might sound familiar to many is the song from "Sound of Music", "Wouldn't it be Loverly",

"Someone's 'ead restin' on my knee,

Warm an' tender as 'e can be. 'ho takes good care of me,

Aow, wouldn't it be loverly?

Loverly, loverly, loverly, loverly"

This poem is special: it denotes a depth of emotion rarely seen. Beautiful!

powerful emotion!

pretty,

personal,

emotional.

I'm curious, who inspires you to write these lines?

I would find it difficult to believe these come from imagination rather than memory as there is such real emotion in them. :-)
