In meetings, I write poems
half expecting to be asked
If I would like to share with the class
No one seems to notice
From the blackberry patch

At lunch, I critique my sandwich
Everyone else seems to
Discuss the last meeting
Or a scholarly article

At cocktail parties, I compliment outfits
Everyone else seems to
Ponder political developments
And make predictions

In the evening, I forget it all
Everyone else seems to
Take work home
Try to get ahead

Not me

I'm an imposter

Half expecting to be asked, or half wishing? :)

I don't know about being an imposter. Nothing wrong about having a wandering mind.
