i see a series of corridors and connecting doors
there are ceilings and walls windows and floors

you may enter and you may leave
you may conceive and you may believe

you walk you talk you pace you race
and you come and go without a trace

there is a room with a bed for sleeping
and closets with brooms for sweeping

a basement and attic to hide
all your private things inside

there is a garden where you can sow
your seeds and watch them grow

and a trestle of red roses...
and in a shed a hose poses

with an intricate inkling
for a fine summer sprinkling

and there are baths for cleanings
and paths with hidden meanings...

here love the souls of man and wife
who dwell inside this house of life.
