Who will cry when another child dies;
His undernourished body in the dirt amongst the flies.
Who will cry when another woman is raped;
Her screams fill the hills as if it had been taped.
Who will cry when another man beats his wife;
Carrying her broken bones and scars is her daily strife.
Who will cry when the politicians lie, steal and deceive;
Justice and freedom this country shall never receive.
Who will cry when apartheid is reversed;
No matter which way, the people are cursed.
Who will cry when another violent crime is committed;
No tear will help for the guilty are sure to be acquitted.
No-one will cry for you Africa, they'll just turn a blind eye;
The country will continue to live a life based on a lie.
Dry your tears Africa and make that change;
No more tears and suffering is within your range.
Fight for your people and what's right;
I cry alone for Africa as this is my plight.
Africa stand up and step to the plate;
Or tears and suffering will remain your fate.
