Click hereWhose skin am I in
That I wear each long day
Whose face do you see
What flesh do i dress
While I am on my way
What hollowed identity
Like the way lines 4 and 6 work together: "flesh do I dress," " hollowed identidy."
This short poem says a lot. The sparse language sets the tone well too.
This is well written, wakingdown. It made me pause and think about things I wouldn't have otherwise. I measure a poem's impact on me by how much time I reflect on it. This was not 30 seconds and toggle to next one in "New Poems."
