Why should I smile ear to ear
Why should I even give a care
What does it matter when I turn so blue

Can't you tell that I am hurtin
Inside my heart is burnin
Do you even really care?

Don't you see my tears
Can't you tell I live in fear
Why can't you just help me out?

Yes I need help to stand
This is such a rocky land
Please don't let me fall.

At night I lay alone
At day I feel like a drone
What do I have for love?

People have treated me bad
Now my heart is set on sad
Where can I go from here?

I notice all around me
Other souls are flyin free
When can I take off and live?

Don't you see my tears
Can't you tell I live in fear
Why can't you just help me out?

Yes I need help to stand
This is such a rocky land
Please don't let me fall.

Can you even let me down
When I already wear a frown
Why should I allow you in?

Why is it a constant thing
For my heart to experience a fling
I can't bear the pain.

Don't you see my tears
Can't you tell I live in fear
Why can't you just help me out?

Yes I need help to stand
This is such a rocky land
Please don't let me fall.

Lyrical

The triplet format gives me the impression of short verses in a song about disillusionment and hurt. Good poem. Thanks for sharing.
