Why I cried?
It wasn't that you said,
"good-bye"
or that you left me
standing
on the side of the road
in the blistering sun

dumped
out in the middle of
no where
like an empty bottle
in a million rows
of farm fields

You went waving a finger
I threw a shoe
as you thundered and rumbled away
but it barely flew

It wasn't the words
"I don't love you any more"
or "get off the bike bitch."
Those words bothered me
but that's not why I cried.

Rarely do tears I yield
unless I'm left standing
near an Onion field!

confused lol..

I really liked the story told in a poetic form! Very visual lets the reader be the empty bottle ... my confusion lies in is the twist comical...or denial?... not allow satisfaction to the offender.. things that make you go hmmm

ty for the read!
