I would gladly travel
up into the clouds of the storm
weaving through the lightning
down through the pines
on the mountainside
along the river
and out to caress
the surface of the sea
grabbing a hint of moisture and salt
a thousand miles and more
just to be
with the wind
at the moment
it brushes across your cheek.

Incredibly

romantic! I love the cadence and the style, and the touching sentiment behind it really warmed me. Beautifully done! Thank you. LJ

I love this!

It's my kind of poem. Beautiful, quite apart from the sentiment.

****

It could be tightened a little, but the images and emotion are strong and the ending is very good.

I mean this as a compliment:

Can you imagine the wonderful greeting card this could be? And the possibilities of illustrated poetry...

If that cheek you wrote of didn't blush, then they didn't deserve this poem.
