Winter, aloof,
Adorns the trees with ice,
Pays no attention to the Wind;

He lifts her snowy hair,
Plants a down-soft kiss with care...

She smiles,
Then scatters milkweed
For the mice.

Lovely

You've done it again my dear PB. A lovely, vivid winter portrait, written with brevity, yet depth. The milkweed/mice image paints the poem white and gray. Perfect!
