Waking up, I pause.
Slowly opening one eye
The other
Waiting
The day, I feel it.
Bright, Sunny, Warm
Birds sing
It's beautiful out.
I sit up.
I sneeze
Not once, twice
Thrice I sneeze.
Fully awake
I grab the Kleenex
Blow my nose
Wipe my eyes
Bury my head in my pillow
And wish for
Rain

~~

When I sneeze in threes — but that's another subject. Here I can feel the misery of allergy season — which I suppose will start here one day, if the snow ever stops.
