my secret thoughts
hopes and desires
no outlet for
the truth.
Without you
no sacred soul
giving creedence
to the myth
that true souls
exist again and again.
Without you
a bland life
a mere existence
of breath after breath
without taste.
Without you
the color is gone
no vibrant thoughts
no wild imagination
to paint my life.
Without you
the world is cold
no warmth at night
no comfort in life
without you
in my world.
