Wolf Woman

Hag of the desert

Your name is spoken in the Wolf's howl
Ancient Mother,Gatherer of bones
Keeper of the Wild Flame of transformation
Your gnarled hands covered in the blood of Mother Earth
Your trained nose tracking the scent to all that was lost
Slowly, patiently gathering and piecing our souls back together

La Loba! Bone Mother!
I call to you, to help me gather myself whole
Sing to me the song of your ancient craft of weaving
Stand with me as I gather my sacred bones

I stand with you as you weave your ancient magick
I see you reflected in the face of the Moon and in the
Gnarled landscape of the Desert Mountains
Your song calls to the Wild woman inside me
I am ready to be whole again
Bring me back from the brink of extinction

Dry barren landscapes
The darkness that sweeps slowly over the land
Starkness jumps out at me, the void of the dessert awaits me
Walking along the dry riverbed the howls can be heard
The sound is like nothing I have ever heard, yet the sound
Has been heard across time.
The call that lets us know it is time to come home.

The dark opening within the mountain wall
Yoni like in appearance.
Dark opening, yet alluring, hidden mysteries held within
The scuffling of padded feet, the warmth of soft fur as it brushes
Against me.

Musky scent and a wet tongue as it nips at my hand
Low grumble, leading me down to the center
Moist darkness bursts into light
The warmth of the fire radiates all

Dancing shadows on the cave walls
Tell an ancient story
Wolf woman, dark piercing eyes, holding me
In their powerful gaze.

Ancient painted bones, sacred images
Of life, death and rebirth, the cycles of centuries
Ancient words, chanting, weaving, and transforming
Bringing back what was almost lost.

Spiraling sing song of Ancient words allow me to feel whole again
Wolf woman, hands holding bones, lifted to the sky
Howling in release

La Loba, Wolf Woman........ Sing me whole!
Blessed Be
