Should love not be healing?
Why then so much blood?
Can you hear me screaming?
Drowning in this flood?

Love has cut me deeply
Left me feeling lost
Lonely and abandoned
Counting up the cost...

Time does help heal wounds
And every time I mop the blood up
Wash and dry and cover up
Slowly gashes start to close up.

Then, like lightning striking earth
The vicious cause of all the pain
Explodes with awesome fireworks
And opens up the wound again.
