Wrap It Up

I find myself too tired to write anything profound.
Late night builds consume the moonlight - my moonlight.
Yet the soulful glow from your essence
Makes the missed moments worthwhile.

This particular morning I find myself aching.
"Honey Don't Think" on a loop in my head.
"You're not gonna figure me out"
Yet I long to, and part of me would like to believe
I already have.

Accept that love can create art
Art creates beauty
and Beauty is too lacking in today's
Monochrome world.

Add a new spectrum to the life you live
All the while, you've been adding to my own
Remember that life, as well as love,
Is only as complicated as we make it.

I am an auditioning jester for your court
Gestures from the king excite and bewilder me.
A mere player in the orchestra of you
And at times I wonder if I register at all.

Let this begin, and end, with you.
