YES I AM

A nervous wreck, I am,
upon a frothy sea
An ancient corpse of wood
moldy – that is me.
And quaking in the wind
a flag washed white and clean
like bones in the sand
a skeleton – that’s me.
A rope tied knotted tight
over canyon deep and mean,
to walk, like clowns at night,
to be or not to be.
A nervous wreck, I am,
and falling quickly down
to crash and burn below
in paranoia town
Scared shitless, that I am
like “timber!” to a tree
chopped leafless, Sam I am
Yes I am, that’s me.
